Waterloo Regional Police say charges are pending in a fatal collision in Wellesley Township Tuesday morning.
Police said a 24-year-old man was standing on a flatbed trailer on Boomer Line at around 8 a.m. when the trailer was struck by a car.
“The car became airborne and struck the man before vaulting overtop of a pickup truck,” police said in a news release on Wednesday.
The car then crashed down onto a gravel road, more than 30 feet away, before striking a hydro pole.
Lawrence Brubacher, from Wallenstein, Ont., was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The Ministry of Labour has also been called in to investigate and police said they expect to laid charges.
Boomer Line was closed at Moser Young Road but it has since reopened.
